This was my first sick Christmas since 1998. I’m so thankful all our children are adults because we didn’t need to push through the holidays. Twenty years ago that wasn’t an option being center to the mayhem. Sick or not sick, I’ve always reflected after the holidays on improving how to love holiday traditions that aren’t working.

Anyone out there like me and still look forward to their birthday? Until I got cancer I didn’t, there’s nothing like a health scare to make you appreciate another candle on your cake. That’s how I found meaning in my birthday!
it’s going to be a great winter…
It’s going to be a great winter…that’s my fall mantra…it’s going to be a great winter! Every year I look forward to the change in seasons but this fall started out different, I was in a bit if a rut. I’m one of those people that when something negative comes to a conscious level I need to figure it out.
